Welcome to the Lake Groton Association web site. This site is designed to provide information for residents and visitors to Lake Groton (historically known as Groton Pond) in Groton, Vermont.

  • New Milfoil sites:  During 2007 there were 4 additional confirmed Vermont bodies of water with Eurasian Milfoil: Hough Pond(Sudbury), North Hartland Reservoir(Hartford), Hartland Small Pond(Arlington), and Small Pond(Hinesburg). Total VT Milfoil lakes: 64 and other bodies of water: 26.

  • Brown's Bistro (584-4124) in Groton is open again 6 days a week for lunch, dinner and take-out.

  • Thurs, July 3rd at dusk - Fireworks (rain date July 12th)
  • Fri, July 4th 1:00 PM Boat Parade beginning at the south end of the pond near the Dubois camp and progressing clockwise around the pond.  Prizes for the best decorated boat and the Dubois will be awarding the best decorated shoreline. (Thank you, Roger!)
  • Sat, July 5th, 8:00 - 9:00 AM - Coffee, donuts and conversation at the Nature Center.
  • Sat, July 5th and Sun, 6th - Vermont Boaters Safety Course at the Nature Center. For more information click here or contact Jim Soutar at 476-8400 during weekdays.
  • Sat, August 30, Annual Meeting at the Nature Center.  Coffee at 9:00 AM and Business Meeting at 9:30 AM.

Before launching, always wash and inspect your boat, motor, trailer and gear for Milfoil!
